Forums - Microsoft - IGN must know something we dont. Mass Effect 2

On this IGN homepage, I noticed this.

http://uk.ign.com/

In the 'In the Spotlight' section under 'Green Tidbits' notice it states "The 360 exclusive is coming from new studio"!!

This article is written on March 2 2009. The article is referring to a new office where dev will carry on. But IGN are confirming it as 360 exclusive on their homepage.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, they've deleted the Mass Effect 2 PS3 version. And yet they still have the 360 version of MGS4 -.-

Ah well, at least it says [rumoured].

Hmmm I think an announcement will be made soon about Mass Effect 2 from Bioware and M$ (or EA and M$). Looking more like a M$ exclusive.

i seen also on the 2nd EBGames added Mass Effect 2 for the 360 and pc 12/31/09

Yep, i'm a girl

What I don't understand, is why companies would keep the platforms of distribution a secret if they are going to be multi. Doesn't make much sense to me.

So Sony can have their own FFXIII moment at GDC or E3?

Ray Muzyka: "I do have one more announcement to make... 360 has no exclusives, lolz!"

So not only do companies apparently pay other companies for the games to be multiplat, but they also pay for silence?  Does that cost extra?

Yes, in fact it's the most expensive part of the deal. That's why they say, "Silence is golden."
