I want to see Star Fox & Kirby first!

The word on the street is that there is going to be a new 3D Donkey Kong game.

And by "word on the street" I really mean "thing I am just making up right now."

Nintendo has this development team called the Mario team. They don't develop for portables, nor do they make things like Kart, the Mario Sports games, paper Mario. All they make is the main series platformers.

i know someone who knows some dude that cleans the bathrooms at the facility that has been hired to provide paper to Nintendo and he said that he saw SMG2 running somewhere on some wii.

Mario Team is working on a game. That's about all we know.

I don't think there will be a sequel on the Wii. They're probably working on new ideas, and may announce a Super  mario Galaxy Redux or something akin to Super Mario 128, but whatever it is will get released next gen at the earliest, and will have a lot of new ideas.

Well, since then n64 there's been 1 main Mario game per generation, i dunno if the Wii will brake that pattern. Maybe they'll consider making a new one since the Wii is very popular.

They may break that pattern simply because the Wii is likely to be around longer than their two previous consoles. They may pull a Super Mario Sunshine, as in make a kind've new Mario with some cool quirks thrown in, while delaying the true next Mario a generation, much like how Super Mario 128 eventually turned into Super Mario Galaxy.
