The moment I saw that scene I knew I was going to love that movie. I particularly love that line : "Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is."

I must agree with you, immediately after this part of the movie it was already a 10 in my books.  It could have been complete garbage after that and I would have still loved it.  Although I think the best part is just before your line: "Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man in a mask."

Yes, V for Vendetta is one of the best films I have ever seen. I don't really care if movie buffs say "Oh but the cinematography and yada yada was amatuerish and blah blah blah" because the movie itself, for me personally, is moving and epic.

My favourite quote:

"Evey Hammond: [voiceover] Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot... But what of the man? I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. But who was he really? What was he like? We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed first hand the power of ideas, I've seen people kill in the name of them, and die defending them... but you cannot kiss an idea, cannot touch it, or hold it... ideas do not bleed, they do not feel pain, they do not love... And it is not an idea that I miss, it is a man... A man that made me remember the Fifth of November. A man that I will never forget."

And of course when Evey finds the Koran in Gordan's house:

Evey Hammond: Are you a Muslim?
Gordon Deitrich: No. I'm in television.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I am actually quite surprised no-body has mentioned Casablanca yet. It has a huge movie minutes to quotes ratio.

Star Wars is quotable in every day conversation and it still makes sense (if you know how to use it). However, here's my quote:

"Here's to you kid." from Casablanca. I can't remember who says it.

Also, "Yippie Ki Yay Motherfucker." - John McClane from Diehard

And even though this is for movies, "Do a barrel roll!"
