There is definately a problem with their stats then.

Because even if you go of current games being played, it says 42,285. Now bearing in mind, that Halo Wars does 1v1, 2v2, 3v3.

Even if all those games were 1v1 thats 84,570 people playing. So easily at the mo it equats to their figures currently of 178,119.

Dude it's not unbelievable for a new game. I remember Halo 3 first day online figures. There was like 700,000 +. Easily achievable considering Halo 3 did nearly 2 mill ish first day sales. I bet everyone who bought Halo Wars is a Halo 3 lover. So the chances are they have online.

It is not unbelievable but it is not the case, simple as that. If VGChartz numbers are anything near right then 33% of people who have purchased the game are playine online which sounds about right. If a lot of people are playing online then VGChartz could very well be overtracking.

I think the way the stats work is that if one plays 3v3, 6 human players are counted. This keeps going on so that probably is the case.

Regarding KZ2 profitability, don't forget many of the sold copies will be bundled, in which case there's little to no profit from that copy. I suspect KZ2 will be bundled for a long time (one of the reasons why I think it may end up surpassing MGS4).

You may be right. I think it will last a little longer on the wow factor. With the game in hand and such good reviews, word of mouth may once again start to sell PS3s. Either way its good for Sony to be able to outsell a console $200 cheaper than it. A price drop for Sony would obliterate the sales gap between the 360 and the PS3.

Ps3 and 360 are basically tied. Why did some earlier posters act like the ps3 got a huge victory? Did the numbers change or something?

You can't get an aggregate number from the HW.com stats page, I tried because I'm diving into the numbers almost hourly :-p

You can only take it for face value: 50,000 people have logged on in the past 24hrs and played a game....Regardless of how you like it or not.
