Guys, patents are never for what the actual product will look or feel like. Seriously, this should be common sense. They're just trying to get the basics covered, then worry about the rest later.

As for the so-called "Xbox Guide" button, that's a funky analog stick.

I hope SEGA's evil plan works.

Up there with the greatest gaming companys of all time........ alongside Nintendo, Capcom, Atari, Namco, Konami.

To be this good takes........... AGES

No way is Sega going to wade into a field this crowded, where Nintendo has all the strength and experience and Microsoft and Sony are willing to spend billions subsidizing their way to market share.

What Sega might be doing is laying groundwork so that they can jump in if an opening in the console market presents itself. And if that opportunity never comes, patents can mean tasty royalty revenues for relatively little work.

That looks um....interesting. Wonder what they'll be doing next...
