Forums - Nintendo - The Metroid Prime 3 Friend Vouchers Thread!!!

I had mine unhooked from the internet for about 2 hours, when I came back everything updated imeadiately. I think that might be a viable work-around.

Something Naznatips and I found out with our trade was that if you shut the console off for about 5-10 minutes it should pick up on the newly added friend codes. If you are waiting to recieve some vouchers leaving it off for 5-10 minutes once they are sent also seemed to prompt it to update everything.

Please post if you are having success with this method so we can establish if this is coincidental or if it is actually effective.

PS - I will probably be looking to trade with some folks tomorrow, but I am heading off to bed soon.

I've noticed this since I got my lan adapter for the Wii, it actually cycles through different online functions, it seems to update the News, Weather and Mii channels etc in a certain order.  You can actually see the wii connect and disconnect each time to the net between each update it does.  Kinda weird way of handling that stuff.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

I'm a little late to this thread since I had no idea where the Wii number was found. Seeing as I was unaware of the addressbook's existence it goes without saying I couldn't find the number on my own.  Anyways my number is: 0559-1866-3616-8784

I've got 12 vouchers at the moment I think. So for those like Naz who are out of vouchers is it still kosher to add you or is this a purely Metroid affair?

No, please go ahead and add me.  I'll add you as well.  I have no problems with VGC members adding my FC.

damnit you guys are all making me jealous. I had to send in my wii for repair and won't get it for a couple more days. I want to play this game so bad! So tell me, does Metroid Prime 3 kick ass?

I probably should have stayed out of this thread until I actually had the game.

Just an update I actually have 13 available for trade so you can definitely get more than 10. I think Naznatips is right and you can only get 10 from kills and more from other areas as well.

Anyways I am setting up a trade with Naznatips now but it sounds like I will probably have some left over after the trade with him so is there anyone else who needs to exchange some?

I picked up a voucher for freezing and shattering one of those Reptilicus beasties and one for a "Perfect Execution" of one of the Tiamat AA cannons.

A big "thank you" to those who added me to their friends list. You all have 3 vouchers heading your way. ;)

It's just like Metroid Prime 1.

Except with revolutionary controls, far more sophisticated puzzles, exceptionally gorgeous environments, one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a game, and extremely complicated boss fights. Oh, and a few other tricks like unlockables, and a spaceship sidekick. Other than that, completely the same.

I was just wondering how you got the perfect execution. I was just going to say something about the freezing of the retilicas but you beat me to it, thanks for the vouchers BTW. .

Yes, it's unbelievably awesome.  It's easily my favorite Prime game, and one of my favorite adventure games of all time.  I'll write a full in-depth review of the game when I beat it.  Mostly just to make the Europeans jealous. j/k, I just figured people may want to know what it's like from the perspective of a long time fan of Metroid, rather than a detatched reviewer who is picking it up as "just another Wii game."

MY friend code is--7129226563014411---i have a few willing to trade
