Mortal Kombat vs. Mushroom Kingdom?
Just not sure if Mario's fatality would be the butt stomp or the coin punch.

They would more likely flip upside down and fall off the edge of the screen :P
Go to Namco! MK has great and interesting characters, but the fighting system is very shallow. If the company that makes the best fighters in the market can get it, it would be a winner

i think m$ should buy it and then build a new game studio with the former members of "team ninja", and let them give the series a reboot.
GAMERTAG IS ANIMEHEAVEN X23
PSN ID IS : ANIMEREALM
PROUD MEMBER OF THE RPG FAN CLUB THREAD
ALL-TIME FAVORITE JRPG IS : LOST ODYSSEY
Microsoft already got the check in waiting to be picked up by midway. Namco anit getting it, Acta-whatever wont get it. Trust me, it will be sold to Microsoft and Microsoft will hold Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat under the same home.

That would be amazing, a MK game done by those who made SSBB but true to MK roots.
Let's see, possible companies that could acquire Mortal Kombat:
1. Microsoft. As someone posted it. They do have Killer Instinct though. Microsoft might end up acquiring ALL of Midway, and its intellectual properties to load up their Arcade with a bunch of retro stuff.
2. Nintendo. The HAD Killer Instinct when they had Rare.
3. Namco. More fighter to add to their fighting stable. Doesn't seem as likely.
4. Capcom. Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat does have a nice ring to it.
5. Konami. They don't have a fighting series of their own, do they? This gives them one.
6. Sony. They lack their own fighting series.
7. Some other company not mentioned yet. This would be a dark horse. How about Apple? Mortal Kombat on the iPhone. Ok, that is NOT a pretty thought
