Updated #2: GG says the controlls will not be fixed, they are just fine..

"After carefully looking into this, reading the posts, talking to a lot of you directly and analysing the controls at GG we have come to the conclusion that there are no changes required to the system,"

Found a couple videos from here, of the Aiming "Lag" as people describe it.

People say it's "Realism" as an excuse, when it's has nothing to do with realism, and it is a problem for many...

If the devs were looking for that much realism, they would take away the crosshairs..

Realism (as in real life) doesn't have a delay when you pull a trigger... just saying...

Hopefully a patch will fix some issues many people have..

 

This second vid, the guy tries to give an example, but he holds the camera and trys to play... first video is better..

 

 

I would like to add to the "weight of the weapons give it realism, it's not lag" argument..

If the devs were looking for weight for the weapons, why does the Handgun have the same "lag feel" as a light machine gun?

Seb Downie, the Producer over at Guerilla Games made an official update on some of Killzone 2’s issues:

We’re watching the forums very carefully and recording any complaints, network errors and as much as the feedback as we can, but the traffic is so massive that we cannot answer all your questions and respond to all of your concerns.   We are continuing to look at the complaints of controller issues, network errors and suggestions on improving the game as a whole.  Some of these things can be solved quickly and some will take longer term solutions.  Any changes will require development, extensive testing and integration so we don’t take any steps backwards, but we’re getting there and we’ll continue to improve the game for a while yet.  So stay calm, watch this space and let us go and sort these things out for you.

Its been a long wait and expectations are high, but we had a great launch and its only going to get better.  See you folks online shortly.

This is different from the weight thing, but i dont see whats the big deal about it.
the people talking about the weight is that your character moves different from using rifles, but this is a different thing. i think the only people who make a big deal about it are trolls.



I don't have any "lag," it's called acceleration. However, the controls are completely different from the beta and demo so if people complained about it being too slow, congrats, because you caused them to speed it up. I'd practiced the demo over and over to get used to what aiming sensitivity and then they go and change it. Oh well, I'm trying to adjust to higher sensitivity but I don't like zooming and it's hard to aim long distances with high sensitivity.

Actually not sure am seeing the lag.... or maybe my brain adapted :)




Give it a week and it will most likely be fixed.



it's called input lag.
tell them to calibrate their sets properly, that or turn on game mode.
Or their display just has lousy response time.
I play on an LCD(Lower response time than Plasmas) with gamemode on, and I'm gunning through elite without those problems. Sure it does have the heavy feel, which feels fine mind you, but it isn't as pronounced as the ones on their videos. And there is no lag in bullet fire.

My opinion on KZ2?
Lousy story, it really is a waste of potential.
But the gameplay, weapons, vehicles are top notch.

Soooo... you didn't watch the whole video... 

He talks (types) about the input TV lag @ 1min 50seconds (1:50) into the video.

I have my HD set to GAME Mode and I see/feel the "lag" to the weapons.
