As far as consoles go, my list goes as follows:

Halo 3

Cod4

Gears 2

L4D

KZ2

Halo 3 was one of the best shooters this gen. Bungie has given the most out of any console 1st party shooter. Maps, new forge and all. Halo 3 will never be beaten by any game as far as replay value. Gears 2 couldn't even surpass it on Xbox Live still to this day. The bias is such a joke.
