It could well be 600/400. Or 650/350 i guess!

I expect Others number to be bigger than NA because that seems to be more popular over there.I think 300k to 350k were sold in NA.

Yeah, Europe/USA. Europe is the best ps market.Others = 600/650K while NA= 400/350K

For those who were expecting 1 million or more, please do tell me how they vision others and NA sales numbers?

example: 500k OTHERS
500K NA

Well, imo, 1 million would have been "great."

750k is "expected."

500k would have "flopped."

1 million certainly wasn't unbelievable, and 750k is about right on target.

Just because a game sells as well as we expect, doesn't mean it sold "great."

However, the topic is about whether or not you are "pleased."

Most people would be pleased with expected numbers, and thus, the results of the poll.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

"VGChartz has today released preliminary data which suggests that Killzone 2 has already passed the 750,000 sales mark since launch"

Now is the wording simply bad in that article or have people not read said article? If preliminary data is correct that means 750k in 2 days so another 5 days to go for that number to go up.

So which one is it?

I'm rather disappointed, but since I didn't think it'd be that great a game anyways, the sales should just be okay for me. It just miffs me a bit that it could've sold way more if Sony properly advertised this game.

Currently playing: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, League of Legends

^ we all know that [almost] no game gets a full 7 days week when released. There's always just 2 days for most of them.

So the sequel to a poor game sells more than the sequel to COD4 and people are dissapointed.......*sigh*

Well, CoD:WaW was a multiplat, and sold well across all platforms. In its first week, it almost doubled the sales of KZ2, on the Xbox 360 alone. It kind of puts this example into perspective. It also shows us just how unimportant internet hype is when going against casual popularity.

You could spin this any way you like, however.

The truth is, CoD:WaW has sold almost 9 million copies, something the better and vastly more expensive Killzone 2 could never do. Why couldn't it do it? Because it's on the Playstation 3. No game on the PS3 has done it so far. However, games for the 360 and the Wii have. Why does PS3 software continue to struggle, despite userbase no longer being a significant issue. Another thread addressed this recently, and I came to the conclusion that the PS3 needs to appeal more to an American audience(which was the entire point of KZ2 if I'm not mistaken).

Ah, then yes, that could be impressive.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

The numbers are ok I still hope we can make the 900k-1mil mark for the first week.

I understand, however people should just get on with life and expect below par numbers for PS3 software. There's no point in believing that Killzone will sell millions first week if past trends show that its basically not going to happen. Also Killzone 2 has had alot of negative press, and was actually used against the PS3 a few years back. People were saying "Who wants another Killzone when the first one was poor?"

As for the reason for PS3 software not selling as much as the competition, I think its just that the PS3 userbase is more diverse
