Forums - Sony - Killzone 2 story questions. Only come if you completed the game.

I have just completed the game and I am really wondering something.

Is Scholar Visari really that bad a guy? Is the ISA the ones who did wrong here?

From what the ending showed it made it seem like he kept order in a chaotic world.

Also, fuck stupid ass Rico and his itchy trigger finger!

Can't wait for KZ3!

I read some of the backstory once, and Visari was not exactly a good guy, but the ISA are not exactly good guys either.

^ Yeah, that is how I took it. I did not play the first game.

ISA are a bit dodgy, but Templar most certainly is not, he is just doing what the up-aboves tell him to do.

Visari is evil, he invaded Vetka, and turned the planet into a war machine. There is going to be unrest because he has brainwashed people into seeing the ISA as being incredibly evil. There are so many Nazi like images (the eagle at the end) that you cannot see them as being good

Isn't there a whole backstory as to why they are on Helghast and what fuels their hatred for the ISA?

I always thought there was supposedly a genuine reason for why he is the way he is.

I just wasn't very happy that Rico can't keep his damn finger off the trigger. He is incompetant in battle and seems to do everything wrong. Poor Garza.

I would still like to play from the Helghast perspective.

The Helghast originally had both Helghan and Vekta, but after battle between the Helghast and ISA, the Helghast are banished to live on Helghan (Helghan being a piece of shit planet and Vekta being a lush and wonderful world).

Some 3-4 generations after that, Visari is born, and under his leadership, the Helghast invade Vekta to try and take it back. They fail, and are driven back to Helghan, which is where Killzone 2 begins.

I don't really remember much from Killzone 1 or Liberation, tho I played both trough.
In KZ1 there was 3 playable main charachters,Rico, some woman and hmm the 1 who died..
I don't really remember any story at Liberation...

Its interesting to see will Helghast now turn in KZ3 to monsters or something.

Take my love, take my land..

Thanks Rainbird.

No idea why though, but when he was talking at the end, I really began liking Scolar Visari.

You're welcome, but it was a very rough retelling ;P

The Helghast are completely justified in my opinion, all the ISA want to do is force them to live on a barren planet in the middle of no-where.

ISA are the bad guys in this storyline.

Hopefully those Helghast cruisers are only the tip of the iceberg!
