That sucks. Sorry man. I would cry if my PS3 60GB died. How would I play my PS2 games?

I have a ps2 fat and don't use my ps3 for ps2 games, but i definitely thought the 60gb was the best model. Luckily for me, my friend felt empathetic about my misfortune (his ps3 broke last year) so he let me borrow his Wii until I get my ps3 back. Too bad the Wii won't run the copy of resident evil 5 i was really looking forward to playing in two weeks. damnit.

Flashing red light means overheating, but you might want to try to take out the Hard drive, start up the console with no HD, shut it, then put the HD back again and start it again, it worked for some folks.

i phoned sony. the bad news? i lose all my save files.

so if you own a ps3, back up your save files so you don't lose everything if your system overheats and fails like mine did. use an external hdd or flash drive.

I did this yesterday after hearing someone else's 60GB broke too...Unfortunately, KZ2's save file is locked and cannot be copied for some stupid reason.

To prevent people from putting their save files on the internet so others can download and get all the trophies/ other goodies.

oh crap this is like the 4th person to have a broke 60GB PS3 in the last couple weeks!
