It'll be a great idea if you can interact with PS3 Home users.

hello how are you.

Home on PSP in its current state would be rediculous. However, if Sony is really working on a PSP 2.0 (not PSP2) then this could be interesting.

See, Home on PSP without some kind of broadband anywhere connection would be a waste. With the PSP only being able to tap into the network if you are in a Starbucks the opertunity for the service to be worthwhile is very small. Now, imagine the PSP 2.0 has 3G. This would allow the PSP to be online all the time. Thus in turn making the Home on PSP a briliant move.

So here is how I see it.

-At E3 Sony announces a new PSP 2.0 (AKA PSP-4000).
-PSP 2.0 removes the UMD in favor of battery life, and adds in your choice of 8, 16, 24GB of SSD.
-PSP 2.0 adds 3G, and Blue Tooth support, thus allowing commuication features to be open up.
-Thanks to said new features, PSP 2.0 has a much more robust remote play connection with the PS3, and Blue Tooth allows users to make hands free phone calls, and chat in-game and Playstation Home.

Obviously this is high fantasy stuff, but it is possible if Sony wnated to do it. I think that this would be the perfect direction for PSP. Same hardware, allowing games to be played on all PSP's, while making a giant step forward in application inside and outside of gaming. I would have no problem if they had PSP 2.0 only features in game, it would be just like when GB and GBC could play all the same games, just the GBC could do the games with color.

Anyway this is crazy off topic, but just to get it all out, here are a few mopre things I would love to see for PSP 2.0.

-In-game XMB for custom soundtracks. (This would be a huge feature for PSP 2.0, because it would allow me to use the PSP as an MP3 player, and when I get a ten minute break the game is right there in the background seconds away from being playable)
-Improved memory structure. (With internal memory I would love to have it laid out like PS3)

Here are a few I would like to see implemented for all PSP owners;

-Full PSN integartion (friends list, trophies, ect.)
-Transition from UMD to MS-R (Memory Stick Read Only) for all games. 2GB MS's are extreamly cheap now , and this would be the perfect way to eliminate UMD from the PSP 2.0, and make a smooth transition from Physical media to DD.
