Yeah the embedding worked. Thanks for posting that. Since it was a cell phone game and I never thought it would come to America, I just gave up on it and never looked it up. After playing FF4 DS (which I really loved), it will be refreshing to see the classic sprites back in action. And the music is always amazing.

I am so in love with this retro-sequel movement! Contra 4, Mega Man 9, and now Final Fantasy 4 part 2? I'm in fucking heaven. I feel like all my favorite developers from back in the day finally realized that their most important customer WAS ME ALL ALONG. It's so fucking great!

Can anyone tell me why Japanese games have english titles?

There are cases where games were crafted to the best they could be, those games made franchises. Now brand name is accepted as marketable... I wont be getting it but I hope it's at least good.

I think it may have something to do with translating the game into so many different languages. That choosing an english title may be the best choice. Remember Secret of Mana is actually, Seiken Densetsu 2, a Japanese Title.

I think the only games that didn't get slammed were Dragon Quest X (but there's still time) and Chocobo's Dungeon which was practically ignored. It's sad too because of all he games they've developed on consoles this generation, Chocobo's Dungeon is probably the best one. 

 

Actually, I did see DQX being slammed down a lot, but only because it was heading to the Wii and not the HD consoles.

Not saying it has happened here though.

no it didn't, but the Japanese like to use English words when they are making a title because it is supposed to sound cooler.  It has nothing to do with translating it into different langauges.

Claude Chocobo was not better than DQ:S and DQ:S is good but not great.. very short... Granted I'm not fonb of dungeon crawlers like Chocobo dungeon.
