I think that they have delayed it to avoid the release window of Star Ocean 4, Street Fighter 4, Resident Evil 5, Yakuza 3...

Ah, OK, I guess that hasn't been updated or a while. Release dates are pretty fluid anyway. SS has just given the release date according to Famitsu, but with three months still to go it's liable to change.

I doubt it, none of those are Wii games and none of them are in the same genre.

But they steal the thunder of other games even on other systems. Just look this week, when all platforms HW/SW went down, except X360 with SO4 as an example.
