pretty good numbers for Yakuza 3, but only a 60% sellthrough
Hopefully week one will use up the rest and more

Hmm around the numbers I expected for Yakuza 3, will put the ps3 around 25-30k for this week.

May very well touch 300k for the first week. Thats not bad.

Good for Yakuza, I only expected about 150k. Second biggest first day for a PS3 title!

Out of interest, (and probably in danger of getting off-topic) does anyone know how this compares to the other Yakuza games' 1st day sales?

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

@ Spankey )

no idea about first day, but first week for Yakuza1 was 133k and for Yakuza2 285k

this series seems to follow the trend of many other franchises that become more top-heavy with every iteration, so even if the first week of Yakuza3 might best both of them it doesn't have to mean, that it has higher lifetime sales

ah ok - thanks

that makes sense to me. guess we'll find out more next week; should be interesting
