I visited the walmart gaming department and asked a person working there for KZ2. The woman replied "what is killzone two?"

....some people deserve to be slapped.

so you are saying you need to be slapped back into reality in the fact that every living being doesn't know killzone 2 exsists.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

i went to gamestation and the clerk told me sf4 is crap as its a ps3 game and when i asked for kz2 he said its "shit" since the 360 is better and i am better of buying cod:waw. however, after i asked him if he had played the demo or the game, he answered no.

the explanation is simple. ms sends spies and undercover employees to work at game stores. its all one big conspiracy :p

When you go to one of those stores, you get people working for minimum wage, who insist on evangelizing their system of choice.  They don't care about what you want, just what they want.  So, you get garbage answers like this from them.

Wait a minute, if you had a Killzone 2 preorder from GameStop, why did you go to Walmart?

I was at 2 Targets today and one had 4 around 10 am and another didnt even have the game out on shelves.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I noticed that the Gamestop I pre-ordered from had only 1 Killzone 2 sitting on it's shelf and the rest was a pre-order list.

Although, I went to the other Gamestop and they had about 5 on their shelf.

My local Walmart didn't have any on display.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

I smell bullshit, really smelly stuff.

Went to Game here in London and many copies were still available, nice thing though was that just in the 10-15 mins I was there quite afew people brought the game. Want to guess why? All I heard was "looks really good" so looks like graphics paid off.

i got the last copy at my Best Buy

I just went and stood in a line of 17 people at my Walmart, and the store only had (4), yes (4) copies. Luckly I had a preorder from Gampestop, and they opened for a midnight launch as well. The sad news is that they had 33 preorders for the game, and they only ordered 33 copies. They said that they had to turn down 9 people that had waited in the cold.

I hope that this did not happen all arcoss the US. If I would not have got my copy tonight I would have been pissed enough to say F*^( it, and not get the game for a while. So someone that was not looking at this as a major event may not buy the game now. Hopefully the numbers don't prove that this was the case all across the US.

I'm pretty sure that's impossible.  The way GameStop shipments work is taht for every pre-order the take, they get 1.5x that amount of copies fo the game come release.  So if they get 10 pre-orders, they'll get 15 copies.  That also means the more reserves they take, the more stock they'll get, hence why som stores are so pushy with the things.

Unless there's a major fluke in the system (like my store and our trouble with getting PSP games - often we'll get none at all, but that's being fixed), that shouldn't happen.

For exmple, my store had 28 reserves, so we got 42 copies of the game. We've sold almost all of them, btw, and will be getting another shipment of 18 on Monday.

This just in: "quite a few" people buy Killzone 2 due to graphics. Sony execs breathe a sight of relief. "Don't even need to look at the financials... this fifty mil paid off."

All GameStops only put one case of the actual game on store shelves.  They keep the rest behind the counter. You might've been looking at a display case, of which we have 22 at our store.  Those do not represent an actual quantity of stock.
