Forums - Sales - Retailers in my area messed up big time with Killzone 2.

I visited the walmart gaming department and asked a person working there for KZ2. The woman replied "what is killzone two?"

....some people deserve to be slapped.

33 pre-orders ?? Isn't this number kind of...small ??

It is.  Gamestop do not have mid-night launch for 33 pre-orders.  It has to be close to 100.

^^
How about playing KZ2 pretending to believe you're playing Halo and screaming "HELP, Master Chief, save me"! each time you get hit?

everyone should learn their lesson and preorder

This is some sort of fictional lesson the videogame industry would love to "teach" people.  They would LOVE to have people buy stuff without waiting for word of mouth to get out, or people actually renting a game first.

Just bought my copy at best buy where they had about 12-15 copies on the shelf, then stopped at gamestop and they had about the same. (Also heard the gamestop employee talking out his ass saying that Halo Wars would be released for PS3 6 months after the 360 version was released lmao)

i went to gamestation and the clerk told me sf4 is crap as its a ps3 game and when i asked for kz2 he said its "shit" since the 360 is better and i am better of buying cod:waw. however, after i asked him if he had played the demo or the game, he answered no.

the explanation is simple. ms sends spies and undercover employees to work at game stores. its all one big conspiracy :p

My Gamestop had plenty.

They were selling spme that werent pre-ordered.

Why should a random Wal-mart employee know anything about games?

Were we talking about a normal corporation it would be quite a barmy idea, but I suspect a paranoid like Ballmer would like it. And old dear Uncle Bill, despite not being paranoid, but the richest geek in the world anyway, could find the idea quite smart (just like Lamar's javelin in "Revenge of the Nerds")

Damage control already started?

LOL...I was trying to not be cynical...since I'm not sure how it's the RETAILERS fault for SOny not providing them with enough incentive to have more games in stock to meet possible demand.  in these tough economic times, I'm sure most people aren't trying to have tons of product lying around, like they probablyy  had last year for two HUGE ps3 releases.

Anything to toss the blame over to sony eh? DOn't retailers decide how many copies they wan't to buy? I didn't think it was that hard to replicate blu-ray discs.
