I like that list. I disagree with many of the positions in it, but I like how it completely ignores the opinion of hardcore gamers. Putting Mario Kart over Super Mario Bros. and FFXII over FFVII is gonna piss a lot of people off.

I am upset at how FFVII is in there but FFVI isn't.

GTA and Halo are in the top 10, stopped reading after that.

How is this list ranked?

By sales, reviews, popularity or just what they consider top 50? I'm confused sinse that list looks horrible

I'm torn between giving kudos for putting some excellent games that I love and sadly never make those lists (like the best PES ever, PES4, Advance Wars, Ico), and ripping this list apart for some glaring omissions (where the hell is Shadow of the Colossus????) and adding some ridiculous games (Halo??? No way in hell. The first GTA is no.3????)

Well, kotaku refers to it as the list of the most influential games of all time.

Great to see some respect for FFXII.

The list has variety and some good, lesser-known games (Saturn Bomberman).
What it lacks is anything from the classic era, though I am not sure what you might want to include from that time period (Atari 2600 Ms. Pacman? Intellivision sports games? Pitfall? Demon Attack?)
