This is the 4th time I've heard this rumor. I'm guessing it is accurate. I don't really understand what Konami is thinking, though.

I have been waiting forever for a Silent Hill remake, then to see this news that it will more than likely be a half assed remake. This should be for PS360 not Wii and PSP.

I'd be okay with this, if it's done right. It's still kind of funny, though, how the Wii gets the remake, and the "original ground breaking next-gen game" goes to the HD consoles, but whatever.

Cool, I loved Silent Hill back in the day, but the PS1/N64 gen is the only gen I really can't stand anymore due to the graphics.

So I would love a remake of it. SH2 is still the best of the series though.

Well if they do a proper job of it I'll certainly check it out. Never played a Silent Hill game. Heck never played RE either until RE4 Wii.

why a remake? why not just a whole new game?

Yes, considering that the latest installment of the game, Silent Hill 5: Homecoming, bombed on the HD twins. I'm wondering did Silent Hill Origins sell well? Any way, Silent Hill is not a major selling franchise and graphics are not going to change that.
