I think what most people remember the most about Mario 64 isn't "looking at a 3-D world" but "jumping, backflipping, launching out of cannons, and flying through a 3-D world." I preferred climbing flagpoles over trees though.

I loved nuding the stick forward to see Mario slowly move from tip toes, to shuffleing, to walking, to running. Blew my 11 mind at the time. Kills me how many modern games only have walk and run and nothing else on the control stick. Lousy PC ports. =P

I think I tiptoed and ran and everything in between for at least 5 minutes straight before I even jumped for the first time.  And then it was longjump, triple jump, backflip city throughout the whole game.  Mmmmmm Jumpman got hops.

nah i think this is wrong. Like someone said earlier, Sony will release a system with a revamped GPU and more RAM so they can achieve all games at 1080p 60 frames per second.

The first thing I remember about Mario 64 was playing with Mario's face on the opening screen. It used to blow my mind how I could mess up his face like that lol

I'd completely forgot about that. I probably screwed around with Mario's Face for five damn minutes before I even started a new game. =D

I don't understand, if development costs for devs are already so high that many developers and publishers are posting horrible losses and/or going bankrupt, then why would they want such a huge leap again? Wouldn't that just shoot their development costs up even more astronomically high?

Not so much as you would think.  It's highly likely that the 360's successor at least will have the same general archtecture as the 360.  The PS4 will likely be a multicore cell... maybe 3 or 4 cells depending on when they launch.  The problem with Sony is that it's not likely they will be using NVidia as they really got screwed over(much like MS did with the Xbox).  It is also highly unlikely that anyone will use Intel's new design either as they wont hand over ownership so reducing price will be difficult.

thank U sony i happy to hear this as well

oh thanks GOD¡¡ i am a graphics whore too jejejeje.

Please explain how next gen games will cost $90. Are their facts that back up that statement, or is it a number pulled out of someones ass? Would it be more difficult for Nintendo to develop an HD console compared to the competitors? Would it be more expensive to make?

Blind conjecture, probably not, and probably not.

99% of all numbers on vgChartz are pulled out of someone's arse.

/facepalm

I don't need a big graphics upgrade, as long as the gameplay stays top notch.

I'd rather have a SD Shadow of the Colossus 2 years than a mediocre Crysis every 5 years of development...
