I'm certainly not taking this too seriously because my complaints have nothing to do with this particular game. I like to read about gaming. I like to see discussions about gaming. I really hate fanboys that ruin the whole experience and I will call out the situation.

I understand what you are saying and I agree with you in general, but I don't think it applies to this thread.  Please post any comments on this thread that you think are not in order.  The op complained that you moved with L3 and controlled the camera with R3.  That is the only way I have ever seen it done on PS3.  He also complained that he can't map Zoom/Fire to L2/R2 like you can in COD4 (you can't do this in COD4, but you can in Killzone 2).

I don't care that he didn't like the game, but if you can't support your reasons you probably shouldn't create a thread about it.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Sorry but I'm not going through the trouble of reading this thread again to find these posts. I already read it once and disliked what I saw. If I remember correctly, this thread was not to post his negative opinions about the game. I read it as soon as it was created and it was because he got it early.

Once he started complaining about the game, some people argued that he should go play it some more. Fine until now. He goes back to play the game some more and still doesn't like it. Now people are telling him to go waggle.  Saying he is the kind of person that likes the wii and complains about the sixaxis. I remember one of the first posts I really disliked when they called him a dumbie for what I thought was a valid complaint. Then people started attacking him saying he probably doesn't have the game. I certainly can't remember everything, but I know there is more.

I put some other examples on the first post I made. Sorry dude, but I'm not going through the 10 pages of this thread just to quote these posts. You can do that if you like and you will see the general attacks that were done agains his person in those posts. I posted at the end because I was disgusted about this general reaction.

Remember that I cannot comment about the game and refuse to do so. I have not played it yet. I also haven't played COD4. My complaint is about the personal attacks which ruin any reasonable discussion.

There is also the way you can motivate a person to play the game a bit more. One way is saying "try it a bit more, it grows on you and it gets better". This is something that would motivate me to try a game a bit longer. The way I complain about is "you just wanted to complain about this game all along, you didn't even try it". See the difference? This one is aggressive and ruins a conversation.

I agree. You just don't come up with a super sensational thread a day before this eagerly anticipated title is going to be launche. And then you play three levels on it and some hours of multiplayer and promptly start bashing the game. We all know that there are hundreds of eager fans looking forward to trying this game by themselves and all of whom actually loved the demo. Most of them also were aware of the fact that there is no cover in multiplayer and that you could remap the controls  and also are very comfortable with R3 for aiming and R2 for shooting. Yet all of us are still looking forward to playing this game. Now when we see someone create a thread one day before release and bash it for all of these non-reasons, how do you expect people to react? Heck of course the OP has freedom to state his opinion but so does everyone have the freedom to form an opinion questioning his.

This.  It really pisses me off that people have to act like that, ECC is not a big VGC user he's on quite a few forums, he comes here gives us Comic Con impressions and now getting KZ2 early he's giving his thoughts on it as well, what does it say about the community when you have a number of people that have never played the full game that get pissy at ECC for not liking the game.

There's no call for attacking him and doing so ruins the good community we used to have at this site, saw a thread a little while back wondering where everyone went and some people are pissed off because they don't want to be attacked by fanboys when they state their opinion.

They don't have the right to question his credibility for no reason nor attack him for stating his opinion.  Then trolling with some of the comments they made against him, it's just not right, and doesn't reflect well on the community we're supposed to have here.

well.... im playing kz2 right now.... im afraid to say what i think...

You can say whatever you want.

Yes, anything you want while a loaded gun is pointed at you from an unseen location.

Enjoy :P

@rubido - Let's try this another way. What would happen if I created a thread that said Mario Kart Wii sucked. The controls are laggy, Wii Wheel was a gimmick, the graphics were last gen quality, the online is laggy, and the levels were repetitive and boring? Now the only difference between my theoretical thread and the op's Killzone thread is I gave valid reasons why I disliked it.

(Note: These are not my true feelings about MK. I really do like it.)

Thanks for the input, Jeff.
