So they are goin to delay DQIX again or launch both in the same fiscal year?

I think they will be forced to release both games in 2009. I dont think this will cause them any troubles though, as western FFXIII sales will most likely be = DQIX + FFXIII sales in Japan. So FY 2010 wont look bad in comparison.

By the way, it seems like it's going to be the first time ever a mainline FF game will be released on a losing console in Japan. Will be interesting to see how it does.

I doubt FFXIII will sell 6-7 millions outside Japan.

first some questions:
the new DQ is getting a demo I'm sure, but when? does anyone know yet?

The release of the FF13 Demo with some editions of FF:AC Blu-Ray is coming in april, does anyone know when the demo will be released at large? seeing as how it was finished in December already (The demo that is, obviously) I can't see them waiting too long after april to release it on PSN - end June, start July at the latest. give them six months with the demo and all is set for Japanese New Year (Early Jan) release of the full game I think.

Why did I ask about the DQ demo? well, DQ is probably the only series that could blow FF out of the water in Japan (besides pokemon) so it seems reasonable to me that the one who's demo drops first will be the one to be released first, which is AFAIK FF13. I can see DQ coming to Japan somewhere between April-June 2010 in that case...so yeah, DQ will probably be delayed.

I don't see it doing that either, but I think 4-6 million is a good estimate.

I only read the first 3 paragraphs. Great news. I stopped reading too much on games I'm interested in the most so that I'll get the full excitement when I actually play the game.
