Would have rather preferred Dead Rising 2 as exclusive, since it's the vastly superior game.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

guys but i found this.
"Capcom has refused to confirm that Lost Planet 2 will be an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Earlier today Capcom supplied more details on the upcoming title (confirming that it will indeed deliver a co-op multiplayer campaign mode for up to four players).
Yet the publisher was fairly ambiguous regarding which consoles Lost Planet 2 would arrive on. Capcom stated the title is “being developed for the Xbox 360”, but didn’t go as far as say exclusively. Capcom was, however, not shy in reminding that the announcement was delivered “exclusively” on Xbox Live.
Edge contacted Capcom to bring clarity to the situation, yet a representative for the publisher could not take the opportunity to brand the game as an exclusive. “All we can say at this time is that we’ve announced Lost Planet 2 for the 360,” he responded. "That's all I can say."
In September last year Capcom stated that "...all major titles launched during the next fiscal year or thereafter will be developed as multiplatform games.”

Only fanboys care for exclusives. It must be a timed-exclusive, which is stupid. Lets people buy what they wont on the platform they choose! I rememeber those days last generation when the PS2 would get timed exclusives left and right. It's the other way around now.

As I said,Capcom received some money from MS to release Lost Planet 2 as a 360 timed exclusive and then if MS don`t pay more after the 1 year period is up,they release it on ps3.
Considering Bioshock sales (AAA game) I don`t think LP2 sales will be good on ps3.

That was until they received a suit case full of money with Microsoft written all over it.

Can I have the link to that statement by either Capcom or Microsoft?

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Looks like the only thing that is exclusive is the announcement. Expect a day and date release with the PS3 version.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.

It`s very easy. MS paid Capcom for a timed exclusive (6-12 months) for Lost Planet 2. The game will sell well on 360. After the time period is up,it`s up to MS to give Capcom some money again to keep Lost Planet 2 as a full exclusive.
MS pays or not. It`s up to them, that is why Capcom is not saying anything. It has confirmed that is a 360 exclusive and is developed on the 360 (lead platform),but did not denied a ps3/pc port. If MS don`t pay up...porting time...
If MS pays that means the game is still selling well and can recoup the small amount of money that can keep the game exclusive forever (Dead Rising anyone?). As for the big sum of money that lead to this timed exclusive,well...MS knows best what to do.
Even if I don`t want to see Lost Planet 2 on Pc (piracy) and ps3 (fanboy),I too wish everyone could play it,even if they don`t own a 360. You could buy a cheap 360 if you don`t have one,btw
