Forums - Website Topics - Should Brett Charge A One Time $5 Fee To Post In Forums??

Ha no more annoying kids as Soriku anymore!!!

No.

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

No, I know for sure I wouldn't pay, as I don't have a credit card. Premium accounts sounds like a terrible idea

Due to the ease of banning on this site, I'd have to say no...but I'm interested in some other premium membership benefits, since you know, I own a Xbox 360 and I'm a Gold Member, and I'm not a whiner about paying for something that I think has value to my gaming experience...(could that statement get me banned...lol?)

I pay for as little as possible on the internet, I wouldn't pay anything.

Notes
- This fee would be for posting in forums and having access to the more detailed weekly data
- Non members can read forums and front page data
- One time only when creating an account

Here are the reasons why I think Brett should

- Less trolling due to fear of perma ban and having to pay $5 for new account
- More people in the forums talking about SALES
- Less alt accounts & spammers
- Eliminates most of the under 18 crowd

Please add any reasons why you think Vgchartz should have a one time fee or if it shouldn't!

1. Most of the trolls I've witnessed are ages 21-26. The younger guys aren't too bad most of the time. Its the "know-it-all" college kids causing the problem.

2. Want to clear out the trash/spam etc? Stricter modding rules, 3  bans=permaban

3. Pay accounts aren't going to make the topics in the forums any more intelligent or on-topic

I totally agree with this, there should be a set limit of bans a user gets. If a user knows they are on their last chance they really will stop spamming/trolling or doing whatever they're doing that warrents a ban.

Crazzyman has had 14 bans .... why is he not permabanned already?!

1. You haven't been in Off Topic recently huh? nfg is insane...

2. Bad idea. Then we will have no VGC legends anymore. People like Auron, Kirby007, Crazzyman would be permabanned and we would have no one cool to entertain us on the forums. I don't think you are "old" enough to remember when twesterm, montanahatchet, and all them WEREN'T mods. Especially twesterm, he was shifty back then. He still is but now he can ban you.

3. You haven't been to the Game Trailers forums. If you post a link with an article along with it or whatever, you will get permabanned. In fact, I am permabanned on GT.

It just wouldn't work. New people coming here wouldn't join up and alot of existing users would dry up. Not everyone has access to a credit card or money. This is perhaps the most stupidest pathetic miserable lousy money grabbing cheap vile mean crude idiotic ludicrous dumb dubious evil horrid disgusting repulsive crazy retarded crap silly incredulous rotten and downright wrong idea I have ever seen proposed on these forums. The idea fails at such an incredible level even Mr Fail, last years 'Failure of the Year' competition failure would say this fails harder than 100 tonnes of concrete on 100 tonnes of steel on 100 tonnes of rock. Just NO!
