Forums - Gaming - interview: mass effect 2 to be "emotional" plus more rumors of ps3 version?

"In an interview with 360 magazine, Bioware CEO Ray Muzyka spoke on the emotional impact he hopes Mass Effect 2 will have on players

“At the end of the day we want people to feel something,” said Muzyka. “We want them to be emotionally compelled; choices have to have consequences that are emotionally impactful... Because they are choices with double edges it’s part of the emotional investment. The pay back you get is thinking ‘what if I had done that differently?’ Just like real life you make a decision and you have to live with it and because you have to live with it you feel that emotion.”

“Choices have to have consequences that are emotionally impactful”

Muzyka wouldn't go into much detail on the plot, which has been described as far darker than the original Mass Effect, but he did further add to speculation that Mass Effect 2 would be released on PS3, saying Bioware is looking to reach "as wide an audience as possible".

Check out the latest issue of 360 for the full interview with Ray Muzyka."

Sure it´s possible there´ll be a PS3 version, but I´m not holding my breath.

Mass Effect 2 will be comprised of copious amounts of win.

But I agree that a PS3 version of the title is EXTREMELY unlikely.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

This game relies heavily on having asave from the first game, so not unless they release that on PS3.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

If this does not go on the PS3 the only reason (duhhhh) is that EA have a contract with MS. How much did Bioware cost EA? You can bet that if there is no contract the game will be on every console imaginable, ovens as well!

I couldnt care les if the is a ps3 version or not. in my opinion they are just holding off on annoucning all the ploatforms it is coming on because they want internet geeks to talk about it and give them free marketing

This is very true.  I cannot see ME2 on PS3 unless ME comes to PS3 soon.  Maybe he was referring to a simul. X360/PC launch?

Edit: I reread the ME2 wiki and it said that pplayers can start out as a new character on ME2.

I'm sure it will be. The teaser trailer alone almost brought me to tears.

The last hour or so of the original was some of the most epic and intense stuff I've experienced in a game.

As long as they spice things up a little from the first one, I'm good!
