Forums - Sales - Famitsu: Star Ocean 4: 166,027, X360: 24,584

Considering this has a good chance of being the 360's biggest week in Japan this year, 24,584 is a bit lower than I expected. Still though, it's a huge improvement over last year at the same period and should ensure that 360 doesn't see Q1/2 2008 numbers in Japan again for at least a few months.

Looks like Seece was correct to persuade me of 1 week.

'Gratz to 360.

Excellent hardware number!!@

Very good numbers. Let's see if 360 can manage to stay above 10k for a few weeks.

Nice boost for 360. The Wii will not be the no 1 home console in Japan for a quite a long time now.

The only bad thing about those figures is that 130K of those were sold on day one. Unless its sold out, that doesn't bode well for second week numbers. Sub 30K next week??

130k represented 80% sellthrough and SE had to restock over the weekend, so there was probably a ceiling to how much SO4 could've sold.

Wow thats amazing, I wonder if the 360 will see a longer reaching upspring in cboth consoles and sales of RPG software.

Do any of you think this may help Ninja Blade? even if just a little bit?

Congratz to 360 and the good sales that can pass the Wii ones this week, I expected a little more, but this numbers are good as well...

Not congratz at all to Square Enix/Tri-Ace, because the 4th main installment of the Star Ocean franchise got the 2nd lowest first-week sales, only behind Star Ocean on the SNES... And not only that, this game got less than half sales, i expected to be low, but not this low...

It'll be interesting to see how sales go in the US and Others.

Very impressive first week for a 360 game in Japan. The 360 has become the most interesting console to track in the region for me.

hw sales are less than i predicted i think IU sold the most hardware if i can recall.

these boosts will continue if microsoft keeps nabbing exclusive rpg`s sony needs to learn from this quick, or they will fall behind in japan.
