I'm not saying Gamespot are a reliable source, that is not the issue here, my issue is that the so called "Rationale" Madskillz was using about being rational, he only uses this when it's PS3 games, but if it's 360 games that exact same "Rationale" is thrown out the window . It's this kind of double standards that pisses me off. Well, at least we have evidence of Madskillz true colours now (All though it was pretty obvious already )

To be fair, it wasn't merely, "U DONT LIEK HALO WARZ??? FACK U!!!" He said quite specifically why he feels that they didn't understand the game.

Given that it's Gamespot, it's pretty plausible that they didn't understand. They have some of the most random reviews I've ever seen in my life.

 

If gamestop had given it 9/10 he wouldn't have complained about them being unreliable. And even if we were to state why we think people don't understand Killzone , according to Madskillz We are not rooted by reality and are blinded by our fanboy ways.

Do people generally argue with somebody who agrees with them, though? I think Gamespot is a steaming pile, but if they post a review with which I agree, I'm more likely to nod my head than I am to go on a rant about how Gamespot does precious few reviews anymore, how they're usually late, and how most of their reviews suck shit.

Example: The same PS3 fans who hate Edge so much were pretty happy when LBP got Edge's game of the year award. They didn't seem to think it had less credibility because it was Edge, and I sure didn't see any rantings about how much "Edge sux!!!" or anything like that... nor did I expect to see such.

And people complain when PS3 fans pull that. There is no double standard. It's bad for both sides.

 

I think double standards abound. People on "both sides" get called out, sure, but generally not by the same people. You don't often see PS3 fans calling down fire on other PS3 fans for hypocrisy or for spouting nonsense. Ditto 360 fans. It's just the two camps constantly sniping at each other and pretending that the other side is somehow worse than they are.

I swear... I think it's bad enough to see some of the arguments that people get into over games (e.g. which version of a multiplatform game is better and grasping at straws to prove why, etc.), but arguing over who has the worst fans/fanboys is downright absurd.

This thread isn't about arguing whose fanboys are worse. It's asking if you think 360 fanboys have become worse then they were. I thought the PS3 fanboys were the worse until recently I noticed 360 fanboys becoming louder and equalling the PS3 fanboys. Again, as I've stated plenty of times before, they are all equally terrible.

He said that he thinks 360 games have more realisitc graphics,not better,and he didnt post it as a fact.

In the same vein, nothing anyone posted on this site was posted as fact unless duely noted. You still haven't given any IDs for the numerous claims you made though.

@Sold_Raiden: Might not've been your intent, but it's rather predictably devolved into that.

To answer the question, I'd say they're definitely emboldened by winnin teh console warz vs. PS3 for the moment. I do think the intense Sony FUD has died down recently (possibly because Sony's exclusives are beating the pants off Microsoft's), though I can't say exactly how much trolling goes on since I don't read a lot of threads.

I also think that it's not nearly as bad for the Sony fans as it was for 360 fans when I first came to VG Chartz. The "360 is dyin!!" stuff was insane, and it was everywhere.

Look at the 3 threads about Halo Wars. There were a few - a few - who didn't like the game. It's an RTS and some folks don't like the game. So what. They weren't attacked, just asked 'What did you not like about it?' What's rabid about that? When KN did the 'What's so awesome about KZ2' thread, PS3 bots quickly derailed it.

You know, I am tired of running my head into a brick wall. It's obvious a vast majority of your opinions won't be changed and it makes no sense whatsoever to continue to waste my time and resources to discuss this matter to a nonreceptive aud.

Let the financials do the talking from now on. Let the biz experts continue to talk about how Sony is floundering, and how the exclusive content keep landing on the 360 while you continue to get even more steamed and more pissed. Don't believe what you read - enjoy being in your happy place. I'd recommend dark blue shade vs. rose-colored shades because the red Sony bleeds and will continue to bleed won't show up with rose-colored shades but will appear BLACK with blue shades.

Yeah, he's one of those that I don't understand why they have ps3s. i've never seen madskillz post anything pro-ps3. I wonder why he got one. I had an xbox and loved it. If I didn't think I'd like the console, I won't have purchased it. The most annoying case scenario is when x person thinks their possession of the console is a license to post gibberish.

I said I was gone, but I so have to respond to this. I bought it to review games - and think it's a good console. However, as an Xbox-PS2 owner, I am not impressed with the gaming lineup. Yeah, Uncharted is cool and GT5 definitely has my interest - I have a G25 Logitech steering wheel that works on my PS2 and PS3, but not my 360 - but overall, I don't see it as being awesome. It's a console but for me, I am sold on games.

What I find the funniest is - the attacks I have received steadily from PS3 fans who claim they know my gaming habits and the like. I love how blazinhead is like 'It's pretty obvious' and even you, Pristine. So what if I don't praise the PS3 for being the end-all console. It's not. It's a console in serious need of many AAA games.

In the end, it's my opinion, so respect that. And it would bode well with other diehard PS3 fans to just ignore other PS3 owners who aren't as passionate as you are instead of attacking them, chiding them and looking downright immature.
