i think it'll, besides Wii sales have been low recently

Ignore my comment about a string of 360 titles; I recalled Last Remnant as 20th October when it was actually 20th November.

However, the point about Yakuza 3 for PS3 next week still stands, so I'm adamant that the 360 has no chance of making 2 weeks in a row now.

Eh I'm confused as to what you wont think it will do .. you're dragging PS3 into this for some reason ..

I highly doubt it can//I mean that bundle will increase sales but nothing dramatic to the point it will pass the Wii.

I know it won't do 2 weeks in a row.

And I bring the PS3 into it because I think that Yakuza 3 will weaken any chances of a strong 2nd week for 360 after SO4's release.

How can any console do one week "in a row"?

I can't see either Star Ocean or Yakuza affecting each others console sales, its pretty much certain the 360 is going to drop in its second week. 

It all depends on the bundles Microsoft put out, this is obviously a big game for Japan and maybe Microsoft have learnt to make more bundles for its games there (they obviously sell well)

There are a number of different (plausible) situations that could happen for the 360 to outsell the Wii for 2 weeks.

What can I say? It's 3:20am where I live right now!

I just can't see any way in which the 360 could outsell the Wii for a second week, let alone "a number" of ways. Inevitable drop after SO4 launch week combined with shift in focus to Yakuza 3 launch week confirms in my mind that it isn't possible.

Well, we already know how big Star Ocean is going to be, its outdone IU, TLR & ToV first week sales in a day. Now I know this game alone can't top the Wii, if Microsoft want to sell more HW than the Wii they need bundles.

Its not hard to see Wii sales going below 20k (heck 3 weeks ago they were above 26k) if the 360 can sell 25k - 30k this week and then 15k - 20k then it has a shot at doing 2 weeks on the Wii

didn't SO4 sell 80%+ of its shipment first day? meaning its likely another shipment is going out this week further spurring sales? I don't know how much those other JRPG's sold of their intial shipements so I can't compare.

and FYI I don't think the 360 can do 2 weeks on the Wii but it certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility, certainly wouldn't bet my house on it!

It should do. For that week, I think 360>Wii>PS3, and the following week, PS3>Wii>360, because Star Ocean IV won't have any lasting effect, and because Yakuza 3 launches that week, with a fancy coloured PS3.

I just can't see a second week at all. Once the honeymoon period is over, it'll surely be a sizeable drop.
