Star Ocean 4 came out for this weeks JP numbers

1st day sales were in the 130k range while the Wii had Dead Rising 2 1st day sales coming in the 6k range

 360 Arcade + Star Ocean4 + Face plate + Soundtrack CD    24,800yen

that looks really intriguing and the price is low also

 

Didnt see this in the prediction league so thats why im asking last week people thought the ps3 would outsell the wii based on the JP preview if you want you can wait tell the preview comes out b4 you give ur opinion

i personaly think the 360 has a good chance of outselling the Wii for the week ending 2/21 i think that will have to wait for the Yakuza bundle to come out next week for the ps3 to take the top spot in Jap, next week will be big for the ps3 it also has a KZ bundle in EU

Hmm, depends how low the Wii goes (I'm thinking it'll hover around the 16-17k mark) and, of course, how much of an impact SO4 will have!
There is a chance, I think both HD consoles might end up outselling the Wii a couple of weeks this quarter, actually!

That bundle is a great one. I can definitely see the 360 pulling ahead in the SO4 release week.

Yes, but the Gamecube and the Xbox both beat the PS2 for a week or two during their life time. Yet in life time sales the Xbox nor the Gamecube came close to selling as well as the PS2.

Sure, it's quite possible. Wii seems steady around 21k, so X360 will have to beat that. I imagine all three will be pretty close this week, somewhere around 20k, although PS3 should dip a bit from it's 19k last week, so should be behind both Wii and X360.

well with how much the wii just sells like madness I don't think it will happen. If so then that will be some HUGE news for microsoft though.

Errr no chance Maynard_Too, Yakuza 3 releasing next week on PS3 will put hardware sales on top with absolute ease. I will be shocked if 360 is not on top looking at the SO4 sales and bundles, then PS3 will be on top for a few weeks thanks too RE5 and Yakuza 3.

Then it all goes back to normal, no big HD games coming besides the FF twins and those are not coming any time soon.

Whilst I think it's highly unlikely that X360 will outsell Wii in two weeks time (numbers wise), PS3 being number one that week doesn't negate the possibility of X360 being ahead of Wii too. The topic of this thread has nothing to do with PS3.
