"Spam the "knockout" move... Or play with cheap characters"

You know, there is a reason you can't beat this guy

[...]

I don't get it? I never said I couldn't beat him, did I? o_O

You used spam and cheap in that sentence

If you can beat him fighting right, congratulations

If you are just spaming, you fail at fight games, and so does a lot of people here

Playing with Zangief doesn't make me a cheater, even though he's broken. I just love Zangief, so I use him! ^^

By the way, I thought the point of the thread was to help out Ajescent here, who said that he doesn't seem to be a Street Fighter enthusiast in the first place, not to try and show off (hehe). If he just wants to unlock all characters, it can help him out. Otherwise, he will need days of practice with every characters.

For Street Fighter veterans, you just need to get used to the Xbox 360/PS3 controller, and the strategies are pretty much the same and you're good to go!

Let me help him out then

Figure out how to do combos, how to counter grabs, how to block properly and everything

You don't need to master every fighter special moves to play that character right without spamming, and it won't take days of practice

You just need to know how to play the game

Let me make it clear, i'm not attacking directly you or him, because i have no proof beyond those little pieces of text that you can't play the way you're supposed to play

I just have no respect for move spammers and exploiters and cheap players, in any game genre. If you fit in this category then yes, it's directed at you then

Don't worry, single player strategies barely transfer to the multiplayer, as far as I know (at least, in my case). Unlocking characters in this game is a tedious process that can be made more easily by "spamming" moves (like jump + heavy kick + down heavy kick... the basic noob combo), but if someone wants to do it the good and hard way that will eventually benefit them in the future for multiplayer, then sure!

Besides, I totally agree with you. This is why I don't play Super Smash Bros. Brawl as much as Melee. The long range characters in this game are fricking annoying, and the worse thing is that they are all overpowered new characters. It makes me sick how SORA changed the engine so much that Smash attacks are now "teh must used" technique in the SSB series. Then we get people that say "Dude, the game is fricking called Super "Smash" Bros..."

Ridiculous! >_>

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

I got SFIV on GF today.

Popped it in, went through arcade mode, unlocked Rose, went through it one more time.

Beat Seth twice in just a couple hours, only had to continue a couple of times, IDK why people think he's so hard.

Try playing SFIII or Shin Akuma on SFA3 for a hard boss.

I think the reason why there is so much stigma attached to Seth being hard is because there are so many "new" people to SF trying to beat him, and failing.

We'll miss you George.

My friends call me Hadoken because I'm down-right fierce

i'm 36 and i've been playing fighters since the mid 80's and Seth is the most impossible fight boss i've seen in awhile. i've beaten the game on normal with Ken and Ryu but even on easy i can't win 2 out of three with Abel. Other than this problem, this game is awsome. with soul calibur 4 yo had a lag or delay in the fighting but SF4 everything is smooth. Capcom did a fine job.

This hand of mine is burning red. It's loud cry is telling me to grasp victory.....SEKIHA TENKYOKEN!!!

From my short experiences with SF4 I just played on easiest just to unlock some charcaters and then I wantded to see how I would do going from easiest to hardest. To me everyone was a fair fight except for Seth. I would have beaten him on my 25th time if i didn't mess up my Ultra combo finisher with Ken, so it just about literally took 25 more times on hardest till i beat him. Now if I practiced with the training mode and used the other new features that are in SF4 instead of using my experiences from SF2 turbo and some SF3 alone, I might have faired much better against him and maybe not lose as much. : )

Waiting...waiting...waiting...waiting patiently for MH3 : p

Never mention that monster while I'm around again!  Seriously if people think Seth is hard/cheap they never met this guy, it's like you're either retardedly dedicated to SF to get good enough to beat him with skill on the hardest setting or you get lucky... <_<

I agree that they've added enough variety and changes to justify releasing the game as Street Fighter 4...i was talking more about the bottom line, core gameplay...

Like while I play online against human opponents...the zoning that players are doing to me makes me smile...as it makes me feel like im in 1994.

I suggest giving SF3:third strike a shot once you are done with SF4. I have strong beliefs that you will feel like SF4 was a prequel to SF3 gameplay wise... We already know it is story wise :)

What do you mean by zoning?
