See, I see them both as 2D fighters though.

The biggest difference might be the health bar vs. "ring out".  Sure, in SSB your percentage goes up, but you can't die from taking damage, not directly.

I'll reserve judgement until I've played Street Fighter, as it sounds quite fun, but they're absolutely both 2D fighters. It's like saying that Mario Galaxy and Ratchet and Clank are different genres because Ratchet uses guns o.O

Brawl is amazing, though.

i am more interested in SF4 than tekken 6....i think SF4 will be the best fighter this gen

I owned Street Fighter II Turbo and Super Street Fighter II, but I haven't played Street Fighter IV yet.

With that said, I would take any version of Super Smash Bros. over a traditional fighter.

You think SF4 is better while I know Tekken 6 is better, there is a reason it is the number one game in the arcades. Just awesome, I have spent so much money on that game it is damn right sad. :(

Having played both, I still prefer Tatsunoko vs Capcom.



PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

Well I think the problem with Tekken 6 is that no matter how well it plays it'll always play like a Tekken, so Street Fighter IV wins by default just because it plays like Street Fighter.

lol...im a big Tekken fan bro...extremely BIG ! since tekken 2(i didnt like it though)..tekken 3 made me get a PS1

oh yea...tekken 3 took over the entire arcade when it came out....tekken 6 looks a bit fast paste..like that of soul calibur so i am loosing interest......

SF4 is my pick for this gen..i would quicker get it than tekken without a doubt

wow wow....dont get me confused, SF4>tekken 6 (my opinion)
but the best fighting game ever is TEKKEN 3 imo....followed by tekken 5, SF third strike and then capcom vs snk2
