Forums - Nintendo - Wii Music is genius.

I have too many games to buy. I'd get this, but it's looking impossible right now... Madworld's gonna drain my pocket money for the month...

Many thanks for posting those videos here, I hadn't seen them before.

Here's one of the few great drumming videos I've come across:  Donkey Kong Country

The game truly is the best available for music lovers, far beyond what the other music games on the market can offer. Now that I finally managed to get Wii Fit as well a few weeks back, I've been able to start using the full drum mode, and that frees up what you can do in your videos and arrangements so much more.

Be aware that it's difficult to get the hang of the drumming in the game, but certainly not impossible; there are some useful introductory lessons that walk you pretty far into the basic patterns and uses for the hi-hat, snare, both pedals, toms during fills, etc, but after that point, it leaves it to you to figure out how to create your own drum parts, with the whole set sitting out in front of you just as if you were sitting before a band with a real drum set. In other words, not at all like the drums in Rock Band etc, where you don't even have to know the first thing about the components of a drum set or how to create an interesting beat that works well with a particular song.

Also, I believe this link has been posted before, but for those who haven't seen it, here are Nintendo's staff clips, some of which are very clever:

Those videos were awesome! I totally forgot about this game, at least I want to try it. I like the idea, but probably I'm gonna suck at it. =P

my 13 year old cousin is in love with this game. I personally think it sucks, and think you'll be bored with it, even though the vids are pretty cool

im gonna stick with reason

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

EL_PATRAS,

Wii Music is like playing an Instrument. The more a person practices the better he becomes. Then Wii music become more about creating music that just playing an Instrument.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba
