I read this about when it came out. It made me want to invest in Nintendo stock at the time lol. To bad I didn't. Honsetly though, from a gamers perspective, it was clear (at least to me) 3 years ago that the gaming industry was stagnating, except for a couple cool art looking games (like viewtiful joe) last gen not much was introduced other than sandbox games, which came out early and imo are already old. So I am glad the Wii has been a sucess, it has helped the industry move forward. IMO, video games are about art, having a fun sigle player challenge, and having fun with your friends. With the Wii remote, Nintendo has made games feel more real than they will ever feel on the xb0x 360, or even the ps3.

If it's true that Nintendo only sticks with a genre until it becomes hardcore, then we should start demanding hardcore training games, big, flashy, and expensive ones. That would get Nintendo off them.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

 I looked at the upcoming DS games list and laughed at the training games...  then I did a big old DOH!  There is a training game directed right at me that now I have to buy (if it's good).  I need to learn French, they have a training game to help me with French....  I will have to buy it... learning a language the traditional way is boring.  Hopefully the game way is fun and enlightening.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

I want a Japanese DS training game. ;_;

 Me too. Although that doesn't seem to be as mainstream as the other training games, I'm going to start a petition, and hope Nintendo takes to it.

 Don't you realize a Japanese Training game would be popular with otaku, which is about as hardcore as you can get?

 BTW, I did make that petition.
