I read this about when it came out. It made me want to invest in Nintendo stock at the time lol. To bad I didn't. Honsetly though, from a gamers perspective, it was clear (at least to me) 3 years ago that the gaming industry was stagnating, except for a couple cool art looking games (like viewtiful joe) last gen not much was introduced other than sandbox games, which came out early and imo are already old. So I am glad the Wii has been a sucess, it has helped the industry move forward. IMO, video games are about art, having a fun sigle player challenge, and having fun with your friends. With the Wii remote, Nintendo has made games feel more real than they will ever feel on the xb0x 360, or even the ps3.
