Wow that Gamestop in the picture has a lot of games... Anyways, that's a good idea for Gamestop to try to snuggle up with developers.

I'd still rather buy games off of Amazon where they're cheaper, have no shipping & handling fees, and I don't have to waste time and gas to get the game. =)

Yup... and only girls shop there. Whats up with that?

Hmmm.... I wonder if it'd be a good place to find a girl?

Hey, it looks like pretty tight quarters in there. You could probably score a little bit of arm to boobage action or a little bit of "Excuse me passing through" butt grazing. ~_n

Here's some advice Gamestop. Stop selling used games! Developers will like you more for it.

And if the end result is less new game sales, because people don't want to pay full price, then what?

Here is something:

Developers and publishers, want to not have people buy used copies of games?  How about you actually make it hard for people to want to trade in their copy of a game?  You know, provide sufficient replay value, and good enough multiplayer experience, so people won't trade in their games.  Do this, and you charge $60+ for a game.

If there wasn't Gamestop, then people would resort to other methods to save money and get cash.  Besides this, Gamestop is bad when it comes to trade in value for games.

This. Downloads are probably the future anyway. Most like me prefer physical copies though. What if the company you downloaded from collapses and your hdd corrupts?

If they want to be the dev's friends, then create a way where both the dev and the shop benefit from the used-games market...

The used games market may hurt publishers in some ways but certainly benefits them in other ways.  By being able to resell games, many people are more likely to buy used games.  Some people by a used game which they are unsure of and like it so much they buy a sequel.  People buy used games and then sometimes buy additional DLC for the game.  This is common with music games but is happening with a bunch of Xbox 360/PS3 games.  There are other benifits.

That's a good point. Devs should make more DLC.

Developers should just shut up. Any industry that sells physical products has a used market. You don't see car companies, book publishers, movie companies, etc. whining about used copies. It's part of the business and acting against that is moronic.

How likely is that to happen? I've never even heard of it before, what exactly is it?

What if the company collapses and your disk/cartridge stops working? :P At least there's always the option to download the *** if your copy breaks. It's not illegal as long as you have a copy of the game after all... right?

There is nothing wrong in gamestop profiting from used games even if developers see nothing. What is wrong is the shit prices and the bad service. Ebay or Amazon is the way to go for used games and selling back games.
