The used games market may hurt publishers in some ways but certainly benefits them in other ways.  By being able to resell games, many people are more likely to buy used games.  Some people by a used game which they are unsure of and like it so much they buy a sequel.  People buy used games and then sometimes buy additional DLC for the game.  This is common with music games but is happening with a bunch of Xbox 360/PS3 games.  There are other benifits.

 

That's a good point. Devs should make more DLC.
