If GOW3, MAG, and Heavy Rain all do manage to release this year, that is a pretty stacked line-up.

The latter two should hit this year.  The former, however, is somewhat unlikely, imo.

Why?

God of War to GoW 2 was two years, and that was on the same console. A lot of people doubt that Santa Monica can make something as awesome as God of War 3 in two and a half years, on a different console.

I still believe it can release in November 2009, though. GT5 will probably only be Japan this year.

GOW3 has technically been in dev for 4 years.

Prediction:

TGS this year for PS3 will be amazing.

Grandia comes to PSN(PSone classic).

First Versus gameplay this year.

The Adventures Of Duane and Brando

Care to elaborate? They started designing it before they completed God of War?

They were definitely getting ideas down around Feb 2007, maybe even earlier, but I doubt any of the real development started until April-May.

Not really. Yes two guys have been working on engine and tools since 2005(check gamespot interview) but game went in full production in 2007 when GOW2 finished. So it is rather quick in my opnion IF it gets released this year.

So after killzone2 sony is relying on Uncharted2 and GOW3 to carry them through the holiday season of 2009. Good luck with that....

Anyway decent line up (with 1-2 potential bombs in there), provided that GOW3 actually makes it in 2009. Anyway they really need GT5.

I guess we will see if sony is going to be like M$ and drop some heavey hitters that they kept hidden from the public

Since you are so wise, can you PLEASE tell me what games will carry 360? Now now don't even try to mention multiplatform game we all know those are coming to PS3 also, so go tell me what will carry 360?

Let me guess some unannounced master piece? Yeah right, like Sony has announced every game. MS has no first party studios left to deliver surprise. On other hand Sony still has ton of them.

Holy shizzle, great lineup. And that's not even including R & C, WKC and Trico.

Yeah, GoW3!

The others don't really surprise me. It seems GT5 is 2010 after all (sigh), and there is no mention of Trico because
1) It doesn't exist yet(it does)
2) It's SCEJ.

There is no mention of Ratchet either, also because it doesn't exist yet. GDC, I'm thinking. If Trico doesn't show up by GDC, I'm giving up all hope of a 2009 release date.

i saw an interview with kaz hirai, where he confirmed that they were up to something, he alse spoke about him calling them the olympic team as they'd release their games 4 years apart, suggesting that the game might come out in 2009(which i doubt)
