Has anyone played these 2 games? Which one would you buy?

I am amazed how many pick it up while they didn't enjoyed the game.

I would not pick up Samurai Warriors but Warriors Orochi (2). I preferred that game a lot better.

Anyway yeah Samurai Warriors is okay but just another Dynasty Warriors game if you love DW then you probably will love SW 2 aswell. Can't say much about Earth Defence Force.

earth defense force is a awesome game .just dont play it for the story it is kinda like one of those old horror movies i found myself ;aughing throughout the game

I don't know about Samurai, but I have Earth Defense Force and I love it. I mean, it's a budget title, so expect a lot of slowdowns (severe game-stopping ones), but it is a blast destroying all thoe giant bugs and robots.

The harder difficulties makes this game really hard. But if you go at it with low expectations and just play to have fun and not care for story or variety (on the levels), you will love it too.

Defence Force is fun.. its like a cheezy "B" movie game..

EDF2017 is a classic. Definitely want a friend to help you out on it. Otherwise, though, it's a fantastic game for a cheap price. Nothing like fighting thousands of giant space ants onscreen at once, grinding the game to 5FPS while you hammer away at them with the biggest guns imaginable.

get defence force, especially if you can get someone over to play co-op with you (i dont have a gold membership, so not sure if theres on-line co-op). i dont know, theres something special about hurling giant ants farther than the range of the weapon you blew them away with (not kidding here. atleast with some of the weapons).

I'd grab the points card. You know that you'll be able to use it on what you want.

I can't say I really enjoyed EDF, I just felt the gameplay was repetitive and a bit dull, though maybe it would have been better co-op
