Well I would agree with you if we were talking about this in 2008 but with very few BIG software releases for Wii for the last half year or so (with the exception of Animal Crossing) and a real strong software lineup for PS3, right now things are a little different.

I think what David meant is that in the preview most expected PS3 to sell more than Wii this week with the strength of SF4 and falling Wii hardware sales. So in that regard it is suprising that Wii still beat PS3. Maybe Wii sales could stabilize around 20k/week until the big software sellers are released (Monster Hunter, Wii Sports Resort, both which should be huge).

Yes, that is what I exactly wanted to say. Everyone was expecting the PS3 to outsell teh Wii, even without reading the preview, included me.
Street Fighter IV only had little impact on PS3 hardware sales. and yes, I think Resident Evil 5, Yakuza 3 and FFXIII demo will have a higher impact that will make the PS3 outsell the Wii for some weeks.

Is there something that may help Nintendo to boost Wii sales in Japan before WiiSports Resort or Monster Hunter G get released?
