Forums - Gaming - Downloadable Content(DLC)- Hate It or Love It.

It depends.... sometimes there is good DLC. If the DLC is actually good, and long and at a good price, it's ok (Packs of song for GH/RB, a whole new mission)

But when the DLC is something like: a new weapon, a new car.... x.x r u kidding me??? Just include it in the game, like it's supposed to.

And that's the thing i hate. Now, DLC is just an excuse to not finish the game, sell it as a whole price and then just sell things it should have included. That's a rip off

DLC to add new content after release = good.

DLC to sell you something that should have been in the game, or that you used to get for free by unlocking it = bad.

Love it

for instance more levels in Cod2, that was my first bought DLC.

Definetely hate it. Give me my full game, give me what I paid for, and give it to me now.

They give you what they have ready when they release the game.

hate- horse armour

all depends what the dlc is and whether it really adds to the overall gaming experience.

I dont mind it, if trough DLC Devs are offering expansions (new missions, characters etc. etc.)

If its just some items and BS like that then im against it.

absolutley love it when its a real add on, anyone saying that the Fallout 3 additions and stuff like The Lost and Damned could all be put on the original disc and still have sold for only $60 are kidding themselves. Now stuff like 10 bucks for horse armor or stuff blatently left out thats a different story.

Ditto, especially when the DLC is planned (and sometimes ready!) from release day. Even completely new DLC annoys me...I'd rather they just go the expansion pack route.

If it is free, I like it. If I have to pay for it, I hate it.

I think that most DLC is just a way to get the game out the door faster, and then nickle and dime the customers for content that could have been provided in the game. What happened to the days of finished, tested games? I especially hate the patching on most PC games.
