I don't know. If they can make a game where I don't have to wait an hour after connecting to the WFC for it to let me play with others I'll be happy. Stupid Mario Kart Wii online....

What???

Eh?

I think there is something wrong with your connection if it takes longer than 10 seconds.... Ae you sure you weren't takling about SSB:B (I don't have that game, but it supposedly takes a while)

Brawl works perfectly.  I go online, join my friends' room, and we play.  Sometimes there's a bit of lag in the first couple matches but that goes away fairly quickly.  There used to be errors that sometimes got in the way but those cleared up a long time ago.

Mario Kart Wii I go online and spend roughly 1 hour trying to play a game with a friend.  We connect and my friend and I can see each other but it won't let us play together.  We both restarted our Wiis, reconnected, and did other things without success.  Finally after about 30-60 minutes it decided to work and not give us an error.

So yeah... +1 Brawl Online, -1 MKWii Online.

Ah I see... then I don't know what is going on because clearly the majority don't get that. 95% of the time (more for me, but then I am usually hosting) everyone gets connected fine straight away.

A more common occurence (although still not that often) is that some of us will be disconnected within the race. early on tuoyo seemed to hae this problem, and more recently ninjaguydan  and luthor are sometimes pulled out.

I do agree with KylieDog though, communication is a problem for Mario Kart... I am not too fussed about having people talking during the race, but the ability to talk, or at least type your own messages when in the room before/after would be a very welcome addition.

Yep I could never play online when I first got the game.  But then I found out I needed to change some channel on my wireless router and it's been fine since.

Brawl on the other hand is a nightmare and I have stopped playing the game for now partly cause I am trying to get 9999 in Mario Kart  (was almost there last night, was about to win on 9990 with a massive gap then my controller went mental and just stopped working so i dropped to 9700), but mainly cause unless you are playing with friends and have agreed when to meet up to play, the game has no online element.  It takes like 15 minutes to get matched up and then you can only play timed battle rather than stock and there is always someone that just chooses Roy and keeps doing smash attacks and getting cheap KOs.

I tried different channels.  No help.

Did you actually ever even play Brawl?  Roy was in Melee and not even in Brawl so I'm very curious.  Did you even play the game you're insulting?

i think he meant ike WOW. people will play ike online sometimes and just sidesmash randomly and end up winning.

Obviously you said Mario Kart when you meant Brawl and Brawl when you meant Mario Kart.  Unless you are using friend codes, Brawl's online is pretty much worthless.  Between the ridiculous amount of lag and waiting for a half an hour to find someone to play, it makes me never want to even attempt to play the game online again.  In Mario Kart you're ready to play in a few seconds.  The Conduit will make Mario Kart's online look like Brawl's online.   High Voltage has confirmed it.
