Forums - Nintendo - Are EA still relevant?

Inasmuch as EA owns Bioware they will continue to be relevant to me until I'm done with the Mass Effect trilogy. After that they'll have to come up with something new.

Of course they'll always be relevant to the millions every year who purchase Madden and Fifa.

"STUPID CHEAP ON RAIL SHOOTERRRRRR!!!! ....but don't get me wrong, House of the Dead: Overkill is great!"

Roffle. I actually think this makes EA more relevant than ever, this is just the first of many steps to have a presence on the Wii outside of yearly sports games and an occasional break out like Boom Blox. LG Shooters are entirely suitable for the Wii, the only controvesery is that this isn't a Dead Space port. But at the very least, there won't be a media movement against the game like there was for Dead Rising.

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

My only beef is that it's on the rails. V_V

Seems everyone is doing on the rails with Wii, what happened to the light gun games - I'd have no issue if it was a light gun game.

Grammar freak: it should read- "Is EA still relevant."

A true grammar freak would know that companies are referred to in the plural in British English, and in the in singular in American English. =P

After the bitter disappointment that the new Dead Space will be an on-rails shooter, I ask is EA still relevant?

I think EA had the chance to do something truly amazing with this game, a true standout title for the Wii.  Instead we get a cheap on-rails shooter  that will take all of an hour to complete.  Don’t get me wrong,  The House of the Dead: Overkill was a great game.

Every time EA comes out and says we are going to compete with Nintendo I think cool, but I don’t think they ever will.

I corrected that for you.

BTW, what is wrong with on-rails shooters?  I'm sure I'll like the Wii version of Dead Space better than the 360 version because at least it will have likely have good controls.

I think we can all agree that EA stopped being relevant the moment they announced a ground up Wii game based on their new horror IP that didn't quite fit what Paulkelly1980 was hoping for.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Are you sure about that? If so, that's very interesting. This is something I've been wondering about for a fairly long time.

Thanks

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Ye I think I defiantly overreacted to the dead space news. I was so hoping for something to fill the void that re4 left.

As to why I don’t like on-rails shooters, it just feels like I’m detached to the whole experience. And due to the wiimote they now seem easier.

I would like to ask EA for my forgiveness
