As someone who loves rail shooters, I'm okay with this. That said, I understand why people looking forward to the original game might be let down.

Better them than me, though.

I agreed everyone is bitching about the game too much. Calm down everyone. I am pissed that its not a third person view but i will give them a chance to prove that they can make a great on rails game.

I am not dissapointed at all.

I think the game will be a hit on some levels, but it will probably miss on others. If they keep true to the story i'll be happy.

I see, too much crying, in this tread, yes, it's something that you didn't expect, but it doesn't mean it's gonna be bad, it's partly EA fault for making an announcement and than dropping that bomb, if they announced it would be an on-rail shooter from the start, we would not have this.

From a personal standpoint, games on rails are lobotimized and I hate all of them, so I'm severely disappointed with this announcement.

I'm not dissapointed, it's just that It's the old EA again, after saying that they're going to look for new franchises and deliver quality games, now they're comming back to the cheap way and easy cash. (just look at the Nascar and MySims spinoffs)

Anyway I really hope this turn to be good.

Wow, unexpected... well, not really.

EA is making an original title from the ground up, with mature content, so far great graphics, is promising innovation in the on-rail genre, adding co-op, and we know they have money to spare to invest to high production values. Why are you all acting like you were trolled?

They have Wiimotes now? That is what people who keep saying this don't understand I want to play a game like this with Wii controls. Same reason I have limited interest in RE 5. If 360 came out with a pointer controller I would buy alot of games that I now have little interest in.
