I really love this idea. I always support people making huge lists like 50 or 100. It takes a lot of dedication and really makes you search through all your favorites. So much more interesting than top 3s, 5s, and 10s.

With that said, your first mistake was putting the #1 song at #99 by accident.

Well, think of it as that. The correlation between placement and quality is only weak because it's very subjective and also I didn't want the top 20 to be entirely Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime.

Yes, I'm an N64-era gamer. My experience of the NES and SNES is limited to those GB/GBA remakes I've bought. So I'm sure I've missed out on some classics - Earthbound being the biggest casualty. I don't know enough about it to be able to pick a good song (and unfortunately I didn't like your Giygas suggestion). Again, I apologise for the Pokemon but I love every single Route theme.

I didn't like it. You see I've included the MP1 and MP2 title themes, and Sky Town from MP3.

Yes, I didn't think I knew a good song so I wasn't planning on one. However, I recognise Pollyanna from Melee/Brawl now, so I'm going to take that video with four Pokemon themes in it (whoops) and replace one with Pollyanna.

And how many people would agree with you, apart from me? The list is distorted so that the franchises are more evenly spread out; I can't have all the Mario ones at the top...

Okay... Heard through 31-40, and only liked 2 songs really. (OoT one and Starfox one).

The other ones are good, but I'd rather just listen to a random song (metroid disabled) on the Brawl soundtrack.

41-50: Very good, but too much metroid (again).

Love the Kid Icarus & Pokemon Blue one (never was too good with the names of the songs)

Hmm.. Btw! You should have the red screen saying which song it is up later... I love having an image (/video) in my head of where I was in the game.

I'm not going to apologise for the large amount of Metroid. I think it's genius. And everyone else has been complaining about the Pokémon.

Do you have any suggestions for ones to go in the top 30 that I've missed so far?

I've listened to all of them, and you get Southern Island. I've already planned to put in the two Metroid ones.

I don't like "heavy metal" tracks, so most of the F-Zero ones are out (but then again I've already put in Cloud Carpet and Mute City. Bianca City would be third.)

There are three more LoZ themes in my top 30.

I replaced a Pokémon in 81-90 by Pollyanna...

And, come on, the Pokémon Gym Theme > Any F-Zero.

Strange. Works for me logged out on IE and FF. What exactly happens? If you want to watch it anyway I can upload it as a file somewhere.

That loading circle thing just keeps on spinning. video won't work. I use IE as my FF won't work on youtube because it says I need to update my flash, but it works on IE anyway.
