What's up VGchartz users and welcome to the 12th edition of Real Talk with Snake612. It's going to be a great week. I have a whole week off of vacation. So, expect to see more Real Talk threads this week. Today, I will be giving you the latest news and videos in everything gaming.
Alright, the first thing I am going to discuss is the game everyone is talking about and that is Street Fighter IV.
For all you US fans of the Street Fighter series, Street Fighter IV is in stores now. That's right! The game has already been released in Japan. Street Fighter IV was released in Japan on February 14, 2009 and sold 86,000 copies first day. The PS3 version of the game sold 58,000 copies, while the 360 version of the game sold 28,000 copies first day. I will give you the first week sales of the game by next week.
Even though I don't got the exact first week sales of the game, I got the video of the LA Launch Party for Street Fighter IV!

I will be right back with more Real Talk. So Stay Tuned!
A couple of months ago, I asked VGChartz user nordlead, if I can interview him for Real Talk and he said yes. So, we had the interview and I want to share the interview with you vgchartz users. Before I give you the interview, I just want to say special thanks to nordlead for interview.
Alright so here's the interview w/ nordlead
Real Talk w/ Snake612 Interview with Nordlead![]()
Snake612: Why did you want to become a GameADMin on VGChartz?
Nordlead: I wasn't too interested in the Game DB, until I had blown all my money on the Prediction League, which wasn't paying us back at the time because it was broken. I had done some work before that, but not a lot. Once I started really working on it, it became addicting.
After a while, I was putting in 100's of jobs a day, and I knew that the team couldn't keep up, but I never bothered to ask to be one. So when Talonman asked me to join, I said yes because I figured I would be able to make the game DB better, and I wouldn't have to wait for my submissions to go through. Now, I just try to keep things in the DB consistent, and well put together, while updating the release lists.
Snake612: What does it take to do a Predictions League every single week?
Nordlead: Well, first I have to figure out what games are releasing that week, which means I go and update the release lists for all the consoles in every region for the next week. After that, I decide which region has the most interesting games to bet on. I try to have 3-5 new games, so that way we have some nice and risky bets.
The rest of creating a round is easy. I just go back to the sales charts, and pick 5-7 games from the top 20 that I think will remain in the top 20. I Then fill out a little bit of information on which games are new, or if there are any other things to watch out for.
Also, before the round closes, I go through the bets and make sure that no one has bet all 0's or billions of units. That just screws up the league, so after a little investigation, I'll warn or ban them depending on history.
Paying out the round is just a click of a button, but then putting up the results in the Prediction League Top Earners thread is fairly time consuming. I have a program that creates all the results you see, so with a copy/paste of the results, and a few clicks of buttons, I have everything neatly in excell. But posting all the information takes a long time, so it is just a matter of how fast can I copy it from excel into a post. I also try to do a little summary of the results, which takes longer as that is all hand written. I'll probably modify my program to do that for me in the near future.
Snake612:What games are you hyped for this year?
Nordlead: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (DS) is my #1 for the year. It comes out tomorow, but I probably won't get to play it until the first week in March
After that (in no particular order) i'm hyped for
Mario & Luigi RPG 3
Sin & Punishment 2
Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
Punch-Out!!!
Tales of 10
Killzone 2
Gran Turismo 5 (really hope this one makes 09)
Snake612:Were do see VGchartz in the future?
Nordlead: Well, I'm waiting for VGChartz 2.0 to be released, as I haven't seen it myself, but I'm told it is coming. There are a lot of cool features being thrown around that hopefully will make everyones time on the website more enjoyable.
I see this website getting a lot larger, as I know Brett is dedicated to making this website better in terms of both numbers and content. We're seeing more reviews, more original news content, better E3 coverage, and the game DB is expanding and becoming more usefull every day.
Snake612:Compared to all the other gaming websites, what makes vgchartz unique and different?
Nordlead: Well, obviously we have Numbers, which is great, and we also have the Prediction League. In terms of forums and community, I haven't gone to a lot of different websites, but I do appriciate that we have an extremely well moderated forum. You can argue about pretty much whatever you want, but at least here you can't be irrational or abusive. Almost every other website I've gone to I never bother to get into the forums, cause every time I read them I can't get more than 5 posts in before things get out of control.
Also, every thing you see here is done by volunteers, which shows that people love what they are doing here. It isn't a day to day job where people are forced to write reviews. They write reviews because they enjoy writing and playing video games.
Snake612:I ask you about vgchartz future and you mention something about more original news threads on vgchartz. Do you see Real Talk becoming one of the those original news threads on vgchartz?
Nordlead: Well, first off, I'm not the person who decides what does and does not make the news section. But from what I understand VGChartz is looking to expand to original news articles covering a single subject at a time, where as Real Talk seems more like a casual blog post covering multiple topics in 1 go, which is great in its own way.
I want to thank Nordlead for the interview and I appreciated take your time out to do this interview. I will be right back.
Stay tuned. cause I got more news and videos coming up on Real Talk!
I know the video is old now. However, its brand new on Real talk! I really hope that game comes out in 2009. PS3 really needs another hot excvlusive besides Killzone 2. Speaking of Killzone 2, I am so tired of the threads about the game. Its getting so annoying. I just can't wait to see what the first week sales of the game is. I also want to see if the game can push PS3 hardware sales. Because PS3 needs a game to push their hardware sales more than anything.
Ok thats pretty much all I have for this week unfortunately so I am going to have say goodbye to all my friends on vgchartz for today. I just want to thank VGChartz user nordlead for the interview.
WAIT! I ALMOST FORGOT! I HAVE A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
