I don't about scores, but these same reviewers still IU is a better game!!!!

And please selnor, take your crap elsewhere. You know RPG Fan (that specialist site that you said you use) gave Final Fantasy XII a 97/100.

Apparently they gave Persona 4 a 80 (with 3/4 of the reviews being 90+). They seem like people who just shouldn't review JRPGs since they are not "into them".

From the cutscenes I've seen though, I'll agree with the poor dialogue/emotion animation.

I told you guys this is how it would be....I always tell you how it will be.

In other news, WKS will probably end up like this as well. This isn't a genre you can phone in, in any way. Sparing expense, or even making very small mistakes often ruins a whole game. Not like shorter less focused games. They can afford mistakes. That's why this genre is the "favorite" genre of the core gamer. When done right, there is no besting it. It's like the lead Thundercat. It can do every strength of the other Thundercats better than they can.

It's just very hard to do it right, though. Bullet points are bullshit in a jrpg. All the conventions of other genres end up as shallow jokes. Any jrpg that isn't nearing perfection, will be viewed as shit. That's why it's so amazing when games like HoD, FES, and ToV come out. It's done so well in so many areas that it's shocking how many manhours must have been spent to make this boring ass premise so fun and interesting.

What's HoD?

Hey bro why the below trousers shot? It's only my opinion of FF.

When I go to those specialist sites I'm referring to the members reviews, not the eitors cut reviews. RPGfan and RPGamer have great reviews from public gamers who manage to get the game early. These are the reviews are generally adhere to. Became friends with some of the regulars there to. Generally most FF games dont do so highly in the core JRPG gamers on those sites. I can fully understand those new to JRPG's since say FF7 thinking that all FF's are god games, but to many who have played JRPG's from say the Nes days FF is beaten by many other games.

It's only my opinion dude. I tend to trust the hardcore JRPG reviews rather than media scripted editors hype reviews.

I think he's referring to Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, as opposed to Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.

I was thinking House of the Dead, but that makes more sense.

This would be a gamebreaking flaw if it were an inhouse S-E game.

I dont get why so many JRPGs suffer from terrible dialogue still. Dont these writers listen to this garbage? FFXII, Persona 3 and 4, and VC don't have one corny line in the entire game. And the Personas and VC are low budget(lower then say something SE produces).

I say Atlus should do all JRPG localization jobs...

There are alot of games that get localization for Atlus and they have garbage voice acting

Spectral Force 3 comes to mind, awesome game other than that.
