"One special point of interest is that Madworld's story was developed with help from Yasumi Matsuno (the game designer behind Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII) who, it turns out, was tapped by his friend Atsushi Inaba of Platinum to work on the game's scenarios. Given all the experience at Platinum, as well as the experience that Matsuno brings to the table, we're anxious to see how this craziness is going to play out."

 

Guess that helps to explain what he's been up to in the past couple of months. Good to know.

Considering the genre, I'd say the story should be pretty good.  Especially since Matsuno is writing it.

I'm still not interested in the game at all, but not only is it nice to hear that Matsuno wasn't dumped into some countryside ditch, it's also good to hear that this game will actually have a good plot with some good characters. Icing on the cake for people who are into this title.
