Goth and "emo" are far from the same thing. The only thing they have in common is that mall-goths and "emo"s do most of their clothes shopping at hot topic.

Those that you refer to as "emo" are posers of posers. Just like hot-topic shopping mall-goths are goth posers.

I dunno. I'm out of high school so to me goths and emos are just damn kids that need to get me a refill at the Taco bell.

Ohh so the pics on that website are emo people, well they look nothing like goth people.

they are both the same, its the kids in high school that suck at sports so they pretend to be different and not care about it. Plus they don't get girls, except for the fat ones, so I guess they are good in there own right :)

I don't think anybody understands what the word "goth" even means anymore. :P


I'm 27, and I have no fuggin clue what an "emo" is besides guys who wear tight chick pants and wear eyeliner.

emo stands for Emotional Hardcore. wich, if you think about it, is a oxymoron.  singing songs about cuting your wrist because your girlfriend broke up with you is not hardcore.

Emo was just the flavor of the week for spoiled middle-class kids who were filled with teen angst ... Its really not that much different from the suburban gangsta's that were so popular a couple of years ago, or the alt-rockers when I was in high-school in the 90s, and soon enough they will be replaced as teenagers decide to rebel against society in a conformist kind of way.
