and he was a horrible final boss, i remember how i was to weak to beat that final dungeon and all the mosnters were owning me, so i play the run away and heal game and got to the final part, then he mutated into something taken straight from gradius and i beat the shit out of him. it is funny how the enemys grunts can beat the shit out of me but the boss himself can be easily beaten.

OT: The fight would be close. But i'll choose Golbez since he's from a far better FF
Kefka is the better villain. There is no "he is misguided", or that he is being controlled. Not only that, he managed to actually destroy the world and become a dictator. Many villains become a dictator, but how many actually have destroyed the world in a way that it is almost impossible to fix it in any sort of quick manner?
